Eternals director Chloé Zhao reveals two superheroes were cut from the underivative script

Director Chloé Zhao confirmed to Fandom that "There [were] 12 characters when I first read [the playscript]; 12 Eternals. We had to let two pass the way."

Happening juggling the current Eternals – flat with a bumper runtime – Zhao said, "Some characters don't deman the most screen time, it's close to what they do with the screen time. They take to equal memorable."
She added: "All 10 of them had the same weight; not of necessity screen time, but the weight."
One who could join their ranks in future is Kit Harington's Dane Whitman, AKA the Black Dub.
Harington told GamesRadar+ that "there would hopefully be a flight for him into the ulterior. [Wonder] kind of explained what that might make up, but really not such [else]."
He continued, "It was sort of 'Google this type, take in a look, see what you call up'. If that happens, great – but in this movie you're this thing."
